What we could not settle on this aircraft

On Condor's A330neo the middle block and the window blocks do not share row numbers for the whole front two-thirds of the aeroplane. There is no 10D, E, F or G and no 18A, C, H or K in Premium Economy; there is no 19D, E, F or G and no 30A, C, H or K in Economy. Condor prints "18" and "19" stacked on top of each other on its own seat map at the point where the two numbering runs diverge, and its own extra-legroom list names "30DEFG" and "31AC/HK" as different rows. If you are in 19A and your travelling companion is in 20D, you are sitting beside each other. Condor also says four of the thirty Business seats are "Prime Seats in the front row", but its own drawing shows only two seats in row 1 and it does not say which four are Prime — so no seat is labelled a Prime Seat here.

Our best current understanding, not yet confirmed against a primary source.

About this cabin

Condor Flugdienst's A330-900neo in this configuration seats 310 (J/J/J/J/J/J/J/J/W/W/W/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y/Y). This is our best current estimate for this layout, built mainly from secondary sources — treat exact seat-by-seat detail with a little more caution than usual. Condor Flugdienst flies only this one cabin layout on the A330-900neo — no version lottery on this type.

Quick pick, by traveller

If you're…PickWhy
Travelling solo3CA window seat rated highly with nothing working against it — lean on the wall, control the shade, nobody climbing over you.
Travelling as a couple3EThis row's layout puts a genuine two-seat pair here — no middle seat exists in this group, so it's just the two of you.
Nervous flyers14COver the wing, close to the aircraft's structural centre of gravity — the smoothest ride on board when it's bumpy.
Trying to sleep3CA window seat away from galley and lavatory traffic, so aisle lights and trolley passes are less likely to wake you.

Seat map

Business Class

Business Class spans rows 1–8 in a 2-seat layout.

Premium Economy Class

Premium Economy Class spans rows 10–18 in a 2-2 layout, 35in pitch. Worth avoiding: 10C, 10H, 10A, 10K — next to lavatory.

On this aircraft the window blocks and the centre block do not share row numbers: Premium Economy's window blocks are rows 10 to 17 and its centre block is rows 11 to 18. Row 18 is therefore the centre block alone — 18D, 18E, 18F and 18G. Condor prints 18 and 19 stacked on top of each other at the point where the two numbering runs part company.

Economy Class

Economy Class spans rows 19–48 in a 2-2 layout, 30in pitch. Worth avoiding: 29D, 29G, 29H, 48D — seat doesn't recline.

On this aircraft the window blocks and the centre block do not share row numbers: Economy's window blocks start at row 19 and its centre block only at row 20. Row 19 is therefore the window blocks alone — 19A, 19C, 19H and 19K. If you are in 19A and your companion is in 20D, you are sitting beside each other.

Row 29 is short on one side only. The port lavatory bank at the mid-cabin doors stands where 29A and 29C would be, so the port block ends at row 28 while the starboard block runs to row 29. 29H and 29K are the last two window-block seats before the door.

From row 43 back the middle block is three seats and there is no F. Condor prints the letters on row 43 of its own map, top to bottom, as G, E and D — so 43F, 44F, 45F and 46F do not exist.

Known quirks on this aircraft

  • Seat doesn't recline (13 seats: 18D, 18E, 18F, and 10 more) — This is the last row of the cabin, or the row directly in front of an exit, so the seat back is fixed upright for the whole flight.
  • Often cold or draughty (9 seats: 2A, 2K, 8A, and 6 more) — Seats next to a bulkhead or door on a long-haul widebody are usually the coldest in the cabin — bring a layer for this one.
  • High foot traffic (25 seats: 1E, 1F, 2D, and 22 more) — This aisle seat sits right next to a lavatory, galley or exit, so expect a steady stream of people brushing past, especially early and late in the flight.
  • No underseat storage (18 seats: 1E, 1F, 10A, and 15 more) — Bulkhead and exit-row seats have nothing in front of the seat to store a bag under, so your bag must go in the overhead bin for the whole flight.
  • Wing blocks the view (28 seats: 14A, 14K, 15A, and 25 more) — The wing sits directly outside this window, blocking most of the view — but you also get one of the smoothest, quietest rides on the aircraft.
