What we could not settle on this aircraft
Every row number, seat letter, exit row and bassinet position on this page is read off Air New Zealand's own published 787-9 seat map. Two things are worth knowing that the map itself tells you and most seat maps will not. First, Air New Zealand marks 62A, 62K, 63A and 63K as narrow seats — its own words are "3cm less width than standard seats" — but it publishes no seat width in inches for any seat, so this page names those four seats rather than showing a number. Second, Air New Zealand publishes seat pitch block by block rather than row by row: in most of the Economy cabin the window blocks get 81cm and the centre block 78cm in the same row, and the site models one pitch per cabin, so the 31 inches shown is the floor of Air New Zealand's own "31 - 33 inch" range and not the figure for every seat.
