British Airways publishes 144 seats for this aircraft; this map draws 123. This one does not close to the seat, and the residual is stated rather than smoothed over. British Airways sells Club Europe as a 2-2 cabin, so the ten Club Europe rows on its own drawing hold twenty blocked middle seats that are not sold: 123 drawn plus those 20 is 143 seat positions, which is every shell British Airways draws on this aeroplane. Its fleet page says the A319 seats "up to 144" — one more than its own drawing holds — and it does not say where that seat is. Twenty-one of the difference is therefore the blocked middles plus that one unexplained seat, and the unexplained seat is why this record is provisional.

Its fleet page says the A319 seats "up to 144"; its own seat map of the same aircraft draws 123, because on the map the first ten rows are Club Europe with the middle seat left empty and the last two rows lose their starboard half to a lavatory. Both are true — 144 is roughly what the aeroplane holds with every middle seat sold, 123 is what it holds with the Club Europe curtain where the map puts it. **British Airways moves that curtain from flight to flight**, and it says at the top of its seat-map page that the maps "are representative of seating layouts on board, but may vary according to aircraft".
