How this actually works
Every seat shown starts from its score in our own advisory engine — the same real, per-seat facts (exit rows, bulkheads, over-wing position, galley and lavatory proximity, direct aisle access and more) that generate every individual seat map on this site. We only re-weight that score by the priorities you pick above; we never invent a new fact about a seat to justify ranking it higher. Only seats already rated "good" or "best" by the underlying engine are ranked here — for a complete list including lower-rated seats, use seat finder.
"Skip seats that usually cost extra" deprioritises seats our engine has flagged as genuine extra-legroom seats, since airlines near-universally charge to select those specifically — it isn't a claim about the actual fee, which we don't have and which varies by route, date and how full the flight is.

- Why doesn't this ask for my height?
- Turning your height into a legroom recommendation needs real anthropometric research this site doesn't have and won't fake — comfort depends on leg length and torso proportions, not height alone. If minimum legroom matters to you, set it directly below in inches — you know your own body better than a formula would. See our seat finder tool if pitch/width is your main filter.
- How are seats ranked?
- Every seat starts from its score in our own advisory engine — the same real, sourced flags (exit rows, bulkheads, galley proximity, over-wing position and more) that generate every individual seat map on this site — then we re-weight that score by the preferences you pick below. A seat only gets a reason attached if it genuinely earned it; we never invent a reason to justify a ranking.
- Why does it only show a seat number, not a specific flight?
- Because whether that exact seat is free depends on your actual booking, which we don't have access to. Click through to the full seat map for the aircraft and configuration shown to see where that seat sits and check current availability with the airline.
- Can I ask for a bassinet seat?
- You can tell us you're travelling with an infant, and we'll favour bulkhead rows (where bassinets are mounted on aircraft that carry them) — but we don't yet have sourced bassinet-position data for any configuration in our database, so we can't point you to a specific bassinet row today. Confirm bassinet allocation with the airline directly; they assign these by request, not by seat selection.
